About Us

Kozy hive is all about giving people the opportunity to rest, enjoy the story, and a peaceful moment. A bit of an escape from everything else going on in everyday busy lives. After seeing how busy everyone is all the time, I found it was important to just find a time, and a place to stop, and just enjoy the moment. This is what inspired the start of Kozy Hive.

It is my goal, that as Kozy hive grows, it will not just cover short stories, but it will have novels, fun and cozy clothes, and will expand into other projects to help people have the chance to get cozy and take those precious moments to just get away from all the hustle and bustle. A time to stop, and just enjoy life, whether it’s alone, with family, with friends, or animals; perhaps in a cafe, out in nature, or in some other location.

The name Kozy hive was inspired by the idea of people who have been working so hard, for so long, and they have been overdue for a good break, a time to rest. The ‘hive’ aspect implying all the hardworking people. The ‘kozy’ part comes from:
- The Norwegian word for cozy: koselig
- The English word: cozy
- The Japanese slice-of-life writing style known as iyashikei: where a story happens in the chapter of a person’s life, usually in a peaceful environment.

Each story aims to follow the Iyashikei writing style where it has an intended healing effect on the reader, and helps them to rest, and recover.

Hence a place, figuratively, and in reality where busy people can come to rest, relax, and recover - for now with a good story, but with the goal to expand into so much more to serve the hardworking busy people out there! 🫵
